ALX Africa Teams Up with Patoranking Foundation to Empower African Youth with $500K Tech Scholarships
In a major push to bolster tech skills among African youth, ALX Africa has partnered with the Patoranking Foundation, founded by renowned Afrobeats artist Patoranking (Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie), to introduce a $500,000 scholarship program.
The initiative aims to provide 40 promising young Africans with essential skills needed to excel in the tech industry. The Patoranking Foundation Tech Scholarship will focus on individuals who show exceptional potential for success.
Recipients of the scholarship will gain access to top-tier education and training in areas such as coding, software development, data analysis, and Salesforce administration. The curriculum is specifically designed to furnish them with in-demand skills suited to the rapidly evolving tech sector.
"This scholarship is not just about theoretical knowledge," a statement from the foundation highlighted. Beyond classroom learning, the program includes paid internships with the foundation’s tech partners. These internships will enable scholars to apply their newfound knowledge in real-world settings, effectively bridging the gap between theory and practice.
