Abu Dhabi has launched a series of initiatives to bolster its economy, empower businesses, and promote entrepreneurship as part of its future development strategy. These programs were unveiled during the inaugural Abu Dhabi Business Week, held under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

Ahmed Al Zaabi, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, emphasized that the initiatives aim to foster collaboration, support business growth, and prepare the next generation for leadership roles. Key elements include:

  • Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Strategic Road Map: Designed by and for the private sector, this plan focuses on supporting SMEs, family businesses, and improving the ease of doing business.
  • Abu Dhabi Family Business Council: Dedicated to empowering family businesses, fostering leadership, and preserving Abu Dhabi's entrepreneurial legacy.
  • Abu Dhabi Registry Authority: A centralised entity to simplify business registration, streamline operations, and enhance transparency for entrepreneurs and investors.
  • MZN Hub by Khalifa Fund: Aimed at fostering start-ups, this initiative includes MZN Venture Studios, Light Manufacturing, and MZN Venture Capital, offering development support, workspaces, and funding to tech-focused ventures.

These programs collectively seek to accelerate private sector growth, encourage innovation, and position Abu Dhabi as a global business hub.
