The addition of the latest cohort has increased the size of Hub71’s vibrant community to over 240 startups.

In the latest cohort, 67 percent of the selected startups are headquartered outside the UAE, reinforcing the increasing global status of Abu Dhabi as a robust innovation hub where tech entrepreneurs can access capital, a growing community, and a business-friendly environment. The 15 startups originate from the UAE, USA, New Zealand, Egypt, the Netherlands, and the UK.

Hub71 adds 15 startups to join Abu Dhabi’s tech ecosystem and scale globally

Hub71, Abu Dhabi's global tech ecosystem, has welcomed 25 new startups as part of its latest cohort. The selected startups will enter Hub71’s ‘Access’ program, and specialist ecosystems Hub71+ Digital Assets and Hub71+ ClimateTech, bringing the total number of startups currently in Hub71’s programs to 223. Hub71’s Cohort 14 has raised a total of over USD 122 million in funding, with each startup raising USD 5 million on average.

Hub71 welcomes 25 startups from 11 countries as part of its 14th cohort

Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, has grown its community to more than 200 startups following the selection of 20 companies to join its latest cohort.

The startups will gain access to Hub71’s vibrant community within a vast tech ecosystem of active investors, corporate, government, and academia partners that act as key drivers for business growth. Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem is designed to support founders in scaling successful tech companies and maximize investment and commercial opportunities for them from the UAE’s capital. The startups will also benefit from flexible incentives to ease the process and cost of setting up.

Ovasave has joined Hub71's latest startup cohort in Abu Dhabi, which features 15 startups across sectors like HealthTech, FinTech, and EdTech. As one of two HealthTech startups selected, Ovasave stands out for its innovative platform that offers women seamless access to fertility and egg-freezing services through a vetted, digitally enabled network. Its inclusion highlights Hub71’s commitment to supporting purpose-driven health solutions within its global tech ecosystem.

Hub71’s latest cohort of startups will receive up to AED 250,000 in cash (for equity) plus equivalent in-kind incentives. Among the selected companies is Momint, which enables accessible funding and trading of solar photovoltaic (PV) investments using a built-in digital wallet and blockchain-based legal contracts. The support from Hub71 aims to accelerate Momint’s growth in climate tech and energy infrastructure investment in the region.

ABU DHABI - Hub71, Abu Dhabi's global tech ecosystem, has welcomed its first cohort of the year comprised of 15 startups operating in priority sectors aligned with Abu Dhabi’s strategic ambitions, including HealthTech, FinTech, and EdTech.

The addition of the latest cohort has increased the size of Hub71’s vibrant community to over 240 startups.

In the latest cohort, 67 percent of the selected startups are headquartered outside the UAE, reinforcing the increasing global status of Abu Dhabi as a robust innovation hub where tech entrepreneurs can access capital, a growing community, and a business-friendly environment. The 15 startups originate from the UAE, USA, New Zealand, Egypt, the Netherlands, and the UK.

Among the startups joining Hub71 are two HealthTech startups making a significant impact in healthcare, Exsurgo, and Ovasave. Exsurgo raised $10.5 million (AED 38.6 million) and delivers non-pharmaceutical treatments for neurological conditions using neuroscience and data analytics. Meanwhile, Ovasave leverages innovative solutions to provide women with seamless access to fertility and egg-freezing services through a vetted network.

The cohort also includes FinTech startups such as Subsbase, backed by notable investors including Global Ventures and Plug and Play, who are simplifying recurring payments for businesses and Inovat, which offers a digital VAT refund solution, enabling travelers to save over 20% on shopping without paperwork or airport queues.

Hub71 received a substantial 70 percent increase in applications to join the startup community compared to the previous cohort, including a significant increase in high-quality early-stage startups choosing Abu Dhabi as a long-term base to expand.

As Hub71 supports the growth and development of tech startups at all stages, founders benefit from generous incentives, programs, and access to investors, corporations, government entities and academic institutions as part of its ecosystem in Abu Dhabi.

Qureos has been selected as one of the 15 startups in Hub71’s first cohort of 2023, joining a global lineup of companies aligned with Abu Dhabi’s strategic sectors like EdTech, HealthTech, and FinTech. As a participant, Qureos will benefit from Hub71’s incentives and access to a growing innovation ecosystem aimed at scaling impactful tech solutions.

The new startup cohort has already collectively raised more than $62.8 million (AED 231 million) in funding, and will now have the opportunity to develop advanced technologies and gain access to the market, investment, and talent that Hub71 provides.

Among them is Hotdesk, a UAE-based platform offering on-demand office space in over 73 countries. Often called the "Airbnb for offices," Hotdesk enables companies and coworking spaces to optimize workspace usage and manage hybrid work models. Joining Hub71 provides it access to capital, mentorship, and growth opportunities within Abu Dhabi’s innovation ecosystem.

Cairo-based e-commerce enablement platform Wuilt has raised $2 million in a funding round led by Flat6Labs and MTF VC, with contributions from Hub71, JIMCO, Purity Tech, and various angel investors. This funding follows Wuilt's strategic pivot in April 2025 to offer its core platform for free in Egypt, resulting in over 20,000 merchants joining. Founded in 2019 by Ahmed Rostom and Mahmoud Metwaly, Wuilt has shifted from a subscription model to monetization through value-added services like Wuilt Shipments and Wuilt Pay.
