London-headquartered last-mile delivery startup Quiqup has raised ~$13 million (£10 million) in its latest funding round, the startup announced yesterday adding that it plans to use the investment to fuel its expansion across MENA region. The round includes £5 million that Quiqup had announced two months ago with the other £5 million as fresh funds, the startup has confirmed to MENAbytes.

Quiqup, the UAE-based on-demand, same day delivery tech startup, raised over $5.5m in funds.

The funding round was led by Delivery Hero and supported by strategic shareholders, Cedar Mundi, JOBI Capital, and Transmed.

UAE startup Quiqup closes over $5.5m in funding to pursue expansion

Washmen, a Dubai-based dry cleaning and laundry service, raised $6.2 million in its Series B funding round. The round was led by AddVenture, with participation from Henkel, Cedar Mundi Ventures, B&Y Partners, and Clara Ventures. This brings Washmen's total funding to $7.8 million. The company, founded in 2015, has shifted from an asset-light model to owning its supply chain, including a new 30,000 square feet facility. Washmen offers laundry services through a mobile app with a 48-hour turnaround time.
