Tarabut Gateway, a Bahrain-based open banking platform, has raised $13 million in a seed funding round, the largest fintech seed round in the MENA region to date. The round was led by Target Global with participation from Kingsway, CE Ventures, Entrée Capital, Zamil Investment Group, Global Ventures, Almoayed Technologies, and Mad’a Investment. The funds will be used to develop product offerings, support regional expansion, and scale the team by hiring 40 additional members across MENA by the end of 2021.

Tarabut Gateway raises $13 million

Manama-based Tarabut Gateway, an open banking platform, secured $13 million in its seed round led by Target Global. The funding will support scaling its team, expanding regionally, and developing current offerings. Other investors include Kingsway, CE Ventures, Entrée Capital, Zamil Investment Group, Global Ventures, Almoayed Technologies, and Mad’a Investment. The company plans to hire 40 additional team members across MENA by the end of 2021.

Tarabut Gateway secures $13 million in its seed round

Tarabut Gateway, an Open Banking platform based in the UAE, has completed a seed funding round of US$13 million and a pre-series-A round of US$12 million. The latest funding attracted new investors, including the Dubai International Fintech Fund. This investment follows Tiger Global's recent investments in other Open Banking companies globally.
