Getmobil, a marketplace for refurbished electronic products, secured $4 million in a pre-Series A funding round. The investment was led by Dutch Founders Fund, with participation from 212, TechOne VC, Logo Ventures, Maxis, and Arya. Height Partners advised Getmobil during the process. The company plans to enhance its platform, which connects small and medium-sized businesses with Turkish consumers, and expand its operations as a Ministry-approved Renewal Center.

Getmobil receives $22m investment with the participation of the World Bank Group IFC

Getmobil, an end-to-end refurbished electronics platform co-founded by Mehmet Uygun and Zeynep Uygun, raised 22 million dollars in its Series A funding round to accelerate the digitalization of Turkey's second-hand electronics market.
Of this investment, 15 million dollars came from Lowercarbon Capital, a leader in green transformation and known for its climate-focused investments, along with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. The remaining 7 million dollars was raised with participation from existing investors.
The round also saw participation from 2150 VC and Endeavor Catalyst, two of the four globally respected investors who focus on digital infrastructure in large and emerging markets. Existing investors Dutch Founders Fund (DFF), TechOne/Metis, Maxis, Arya VC, and 212 also rejoined the round, reaffirming their confidence in Getmobil’s long-term vision.

Doha-based Meddy, a doctor booking platform has raised a $2.5 million in Series A round to scale up its operations in the UAE.

The funding round was led by US-based Modus Capital, along with participation from 212 Capital, QSTP, Kasamar Holdings, Dharmendra Ghai (Health Tech Angel), Innoway and others.

Turkey-founded and Singapore-based marketing platform Insider, has closed a $121 million Series D led by Qatar Investment Authority, with participation from Sequoia, Riverwood Capital, 212, Wamda, Esas Private Equity, and Endeavor Catalyst. The round was raised at a $1.22 billion valuation, making Insider the first woman-founded startup to achieve unicorn status in Turkey and the wider Middle East region. 
Insider is now the world’s ninth largest B2B Software as a Service (SaaS) unicorn. 
Founded in 2012 by Hande Cilingir, with co-founders Serhat Soyuerel (Chief Revenue Officer), Arda Koterin (Chief Customer Officer), Sinan Toktay (CTO), Okan Yedibela (VP of Engineering), and Muharrem Derinkök (Chief Product Officer), Insider is a platform for individualised, cross-channel experiences, enabling enterprise marketers to connect customer data across channels and systems, predict their future behaviour with an AI engine and orchestrate individualised experiences to customers.
Since its launch, Insider has expanded its global presence to 28 countries including in the US and Latin America markets and has partnered with some of the world’s biggest brands including McDonald’s, Unilever, L’Oreal and Adidas.
The additional capital will be used to fuel expansion, enhance the company’s core technology and scale local sales and marketing investments.

Wamda portfolio Insider achieves unicorn status after $121 million Series D round

Wamda Capital announced today a $2.2 million Series A investment in Insider, a smart digital platform for marketers to personalize, segment and predict customer behaviors.

Other investors included 212 and Dogan Group’s Oncu GSYO venture capital firms.
