Where and What are Saudi-Based Investors and Companies Buying?

During the same period from 2017 to June 2022, Saudi Arabia based acquirors were involved in 222 transactions of which 130 transactions were for Saudi Arabia based targets.
There was only one other GCC country which figured in the list of the top five countries where targets are located, which is the UAE.
Other countries rounding out the top five include the USA, the UK and Egypt.
In comparison to the UAE, which had many deals in the TMT (Technology, media and telecom) sector, Saudi Arabia based acquirors showed a preference towards Real Estate, Consumer and Industrials, accounting for half of all the transactions.
