Over the past three years, Tesla has dominated US EV sales, and while the top 3 companies holding the largest market shares are home-grown US manufacturers, Tesla is leading the way ahead of the others. In 2021, it sold 336,287 cars, whereas Ford comes in second with only 27,140 sales and Chevrolet with 24,828. Tesla Model Y is the bestselling model in the US.
