M&A transactions peaked in the UAE in 2020 at an approximate value of US$24 billion.
Although 2021 peaked in terms of number of M&A transactions, the value was lower than that of both 2020 and 2019 by 50% or more.
The year also dominated in terms of number of majority sale M&A transactions.
Both asset sales and minority sale transactions peaked in 2018.
