UAE M&A: Transaction Split by Industry & Year

Transactions in the TMT (Technology, media and telecom) sector have been highest through the years, except in 2021 where number of transactions in the industrials sector was higher than the number of transactions in the TMT sector.
Transactions in healthcare sector were also highest in 2021.
The number of transactions in the Financial sector peaked in 2017 with 18 transactions, however 2022 has already witnessed 8 transactions till June 9, 2022, implying that by end of 2022, the sector could witness similar levels as experienced in 2017.
