Top Barrier to Charging at Home

In Japan, Germany, and Korea, limited possibilities for installing home charging units have posed a significant barrier to the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). The infrastructure or housing situations in these countries have made it challenging for individuals to set up convenient and accessible charging points at their residences.

On the other hand, in countries like China, India, and the US, the high cost associated with installing home charging units has deterred many potential EV adopters. The initial investment required for setting up a home charging system can be prohibitive for a considerable portion of the population, hindering the seamless integration of EVs into everyday life.

Despite the global push toward electrification, addressing these barriers and making home charging more accessible and affordable is crucial to promoting the widespread use of electric vehicles.
