Top 4 Sectors for GCC M&A Activity

Both the Consumer sector and the Financials sector witnessed the largest number of transactions in 2017.
The year 2021 saw the largest number of transactions in the industrials sector while the TMT sector neared its high of 33 transactions in 2018 with 32 transactions in 2021.
Pre-COVID 19, real estate sector witnessed over 25 transactions in 2018 and 2019, while healthcare transactions were highest in 2021.
By June 2022, TMT led the M&A transactions across the GCC with 15 transactions, representing ~19% of all transactions in the Gulf region.
