The United Arab Emirates is the 34th largest economy in the world ranking right below South Africa and right above Denmark.
Its GDP in 2021 was US$ 410 billion which makes it the 4th wealthiest economy in the MENA region behind Saudi Arabi, Egypt and Iran.
However, the UAE is the 6th wealthiest country in the world, in terms of economic output per capita on a PPP basis; this sandwiches the UAE behind Switzerland and ahead of Norway.
