JP Morgan’s Split of Advisory Across the GCC

JP Morgan was an advisor on 27 transactions (16%), the largest of which was the acquisition of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation by Saudi Arabian Oil Company, in 2020.

Except in Kuwait, JP Morgan was an advisor in transactions across the remaining five GCC countries, giving the firm strong regional exposure.

The company advised on 12 transactions in Saudi Arabia, followed by 9 in the United Arab Emirates.

Value wise, Saudi Arabia led the other countries with JP Morgan being an advisor on US$ 92 billion worth of transactions while the 9 transactions in the UAE only accounted for US$ 29 billion.
