Global Humanitarian & Emergency Relief Coordination

Natural disasters and conflicts trigger humanitarian responses across the globe, and this requires extensive coordination especially for logistics.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) coordinates the global emergency response to save lives and protect people in humanitarian crises.

The current international humanitarian coordination system was set by General Assembly resolution 46/182 in December 1991.
