Despite inflationary pressures, talks of another global recession, semiconductor chip shortages limiting new car manufacturing, particularly for EVs that require many more chips - and a host of other challenges the automotive world has faced in 2022 ---- EV sales keep rising. 2022 EV sales grew 57% year on year. One in seven cars sold in Q1 2023 was an electric vehicle. There are no signs of EV sales slowing down. It is only clear that China continues to be dominant, followed by Europe, and then the USA.
