Dutch startups are increasingly recognised as category-defining players—from next-generation protein companies to pioneers in waste-to-value systems, precision agriculture, and maritime sustainability. In 2025 alone, more than 100 Dutch impact startups secured funding, reflecting the country’s ability to translate scientific excellence and environmental necessity into scalable, investable climate-tech solutions.
Europe’s dominance in these upstream climate technologies signals where innovation is being created—but not necessarily where it will ultimately scale. Emerging markets such as MEA and India, which face acute resource stress, will become critical deployment and commercialisation hubs.
