California is home to roughly 44% of all EVs registered in the United States at the end of 2021. California’s dominance in the USA is nothing new, just take a look at 2019 EV sales breakdowns by State. The 2nd most popular state for EV adoption was Florida in 2019, which constituted 5% of national EV sales, while California took home 45% of all EVs sold in the US in the same year.
